The City of Montreal announced that fines collected in 2026 generated nearly $185 million, an increase of more than 20 % over the amount collected in 2025.
The higher revenue results from a larger number of residents being fined, adding to municipal funds as reported in the Martinez Ferrada administration’s 2026 financial results.
