The Montreal Police Service will increase its sexual exploitation unit by 15 officers starting the week of October 12, 2026. The expansion is being funded by the Ministry of Public Security after the ministry approved the plan in the spring of 2026.
The unit, which already includes nearly 50 investigators, will use the additional staff to broaden its effort to combat sexual exploitation.
