A young cyclist was killed in Montreal when a driver, who was being chased by a police vehicle, struck the rider on Friday, 6 November 2026.
The fatal crash has prompted city officials to call for a review of the Sûreté du Québec's urban pursuit guidelines. A spokesperson from the police service, Soraya Martinez Ferrada, indicated that the incident is being examined one week after it occurred.
