A gathering in Montreal this October brought together local organizations, shelters and helplines to honor two women who were killed and to call for action against domestic violence.

The two women died in separate incidents, one in Montreal and the other in nearby Laval, within a week of each other.

The rally is part of a series of events planned for October’s National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, aimed at amplifying women’s voices and demanding measures to prevent conjugal violence.
