The City of Montreal announced on September 21 that it will not allow any additional encroachment on Jarry Park for the proposed expansion of Tennis Canada facilities. The decision was confirmed by the mayor, who said the city will not approve further land‑use changes for the tennis organization.
Tennis Canada already operates facilities within Jarry Park, but its request to enlarge the site was declined, keeping the park's current footprint unchanged.
