Security screening officers and checkpoint supervisors at Montreal‑Trudeau International Airport, members of Local 9554 of the United Steelworkers, will stage a demonstration on Friday, Oct. 30, to demand higher wages.
The union, which represents about 1,200 workers, says nearly three‑quarters of its members have rejected the employer’s latest wage proposal. The protest is intended to press airport authorities for a pay increase.
