City officials are reviewing three reconstruction scenarios for Rue Berri in downtown Montreal, one of which proposes a northbound one‑way configuration that would broaden sidewalks and introduce additional plantings.

The street has remained a construction zone for nine months, and the municipality has not yet settled on a final redevelopment plan.

The evaluation aims to replace the long‑standing construction area with broader pedestrian space and added greenery.
