The English Montreal School Board announced that Mackay Centre and Philip E. Layton schools in the NDG neighbourhood will remain closed on Tuesday after water leaked from burst pipes in each building.
The pipe failures damaged parts of both schools, leading the board to suspend classes while repairs are carried out.
