The Musée des archives de Salvador Dalí announced its design and programming vision at a press conference on Oct. 27, 2026, outlining plans for a new museum in Old Montreal.

The future site is the former Harbour Commissioners’ Building, a landmark constructed in 1875 that is now 150 years old.

The organization intends to create a museum dedicated to surrealist artist Salvador Dalí within the historic structure, with an opening targeted for 2027.
