The northbound lane on the Honoré-Mercier Bridge stayed shut on Thursday as the Quebec transport ministry continued to develop repair plans.
Officials said the closure reflects concerns about the bridge’s overall condition and the need to plan appropriate repairs.
The bridge, which links Montreal with the Kahnawàke reserve, has seen traffic congestion build up for drivers traveling north.
