On Tuesday, the Student Ombudsman directed a school on the west side of Montreal Island to correct a denial of a standard evaluation and learning services for a child experiencing learning difficulties.
The decision noted that the child had been mistakenly refused the assessment and support to which they were entitled despite academic challenges.
The ruling also points out that academic grading lacks a precise scientific basis.
