Outgoing CAQ deputy premier Ian Lafrenière said the party is leaving the provincial government in better order after it failed to win any seats in the October 5 election, while the Parti Québécois is set to form the next government.
The CAQ held 90 seats in the National Assembly after the 2022 election, but won zero seats in the October 5, 2026 vote, resulting in a complete loss of representation.
