The Parti Québécois announced on October 7 that it is seeking a recount of the election results in the Vachon riding after its candidate, Stephan Fogaing, was reported to be ten votes behind Liberal candidate Affine Lwalalika.
The initial count showed Fogaing trailing Lwalalika by a margin of ten votes in the Montreal south‑shore constituency.
