On Friday, Oct. 9, 2026, the newly built permanent roof was hoisted onto the structure of Montreal’s Olympic Stadium.
The lift clears the way for installation crews to begin fitting the roof components.
The action comes as the venue, which has been without a permanent roof for years, prepares to receive the new fixed covering.
