The Parti Québécois announced it will dissolve the agency Santé Québec and replace it with a new agency, task force or division inside the Quebec Ministry of Health.
The party says the change will decentralize health services and increase accountability to Quebecers.
Santé Québec currently functions as the province’s health authority, and the proposal is part of the Parti Québécois’s health‑system reforms ahead of the upcoming provincial election.
