On Saturday, 17 October 2026, a clinical assistance platform created by Paratus Medical was launched aboard the International Space Station. The system is intended to help people in remote regions manage medical emergencies.

The platform originates from Paratus Medical, a company founded by former emergency physician Frédéric Lemaire, and is being taken to the ISS for testing.

CBC Breakaway host Alison Brunette reported on the launch.
