Quebec premier Paul St‑Pierre Plamondon said the federal government prevented him from speaking at the Canada‑EU summit that began in Montreal on Oct. 29, 2026.

He denounced the decision, stating Ottawa refused to allocate him a speaking slot and accused the federal authorities of muzzling Quebec.

The summit, scheduled to start in Montreal on that date, proceeded without the premier’s address despite his request to participate.
