The Quebec Transport Ministry announced that a cracked beam on the Honoré-Mercier Bridge will be repaired over the weekend of October 17–18, 2026. Traffic on the bridge will be limited to a single lane in each direction while work is carried out.
The bridge, a key crossing over the St. Lawrence River that connects Montreal with the South Shore, will remain open despite the reduced lane capacity. The repair aims to address the structural issue identified in the beam.
