An investigative report has revealed that women working for escort agencies in Montreal experience violence at the hands of clients. The findings indicate that some of these clients are affluent professionals, including doctors, lawyers and police officers.
The investigation was presented on the television program Enquête and on Radio-Canada Grand Montréal, with involvement from Romain Schué. Montreal has previously been characterized as the "Vegas of sexual exploitation," a label that has drawn media attention to the city's sex‑tourism scene.
