On November 1, 2026, the mayor of Rosemont–La-Petite-Patrie and the mayor of Plateau-Mont-Royal announced a proposal to close the Van Horne viaduct, which would remove the road connection between their boroughs.
The viaduct currently serves as a major roadway linking Rosemont–La-Petite-Patrie and Plateau-Mont-Royal in Montreal, Quebec.
