Callum McCadden, a Scottish volunteer, arrived in Montreal on Monday with the aim of learning French and providing free assistance to strangers as a personal challenge against digital apathy and fatalism.

Since his arrival, he has helped 28 individuals, offering guidance on digital tools and encouraging greater online engagement. The city’s broader issue of digital disengagement has motivated volunteers like McCadden to step in and offer support.
