The doctors' group representing western Quebec is urging the newly elected Parti Québecois government to address a shortage of primary‑care physicians in the Outaouais region. The shortage has left about 15,000 residents without a primary‑care doctor after Bill 2 was enacted in October 2025.
The association says the loss of access followed the passage of the legislation and is pressing the provincial government for solutions.
