The New York City Economic Development Corporation and developer GFP Real Estate announced plans to demolish the Brutalist office building at 100 Gold Street in Manhattan's Financial District and replace it with a large residential tower.

The proposed development is slated to become the densest apartment building in the United States, converting the existing office site into a high‑rise housing project.
