On October 31, 2026, mayoral candidate Shania Bennett hosted a youth‑engagement listening session in North Philadelphia. Young Philadelphians used the forum to discuss school conditions, civic education and the city’s response to teen takeovers.

The meeting was organized to allow local youth to convey what they want from the city’s next leader.
