Democratic candidates are concentrating on Legislative District 23, a rural swing district, with the goal of winning the seat and securing control of the Arizona House of Representatives.

The district spans four counties from Goodyear and has been held by Republicans for the past four years. Capturing it would give Democrats control of the chamber for the first time in 60 years.
