Democrats and clean‑energy advocates are calling on Arizona voters to turn down two Republican candidates for the Arizona Corporation Commission in the November 2026 election, pointing to rising electricity bills as a key concern.

The commission, which oversees utility rates, will see its makeup decided in that November vote. Rising electric costs have become a top issue for voters, driving the campaign against the Republican nominees.

Rep. Mariana Sandoval is among the officials supporting the effort to block the Republican candidates.
