Arizona State Troopers reported that a driver traveling in the opposite direction of traffic on Loop 303 in Surprise collided with another vehicle on Oct. 13, 2026. The crash resulted in one fatality and one injury.
The incident took place on the West Valley freeway that serves the Phoenix metropolitan area, and officials said the cause was the driver moving against traffic.
