The Columbia‑Greene Humane Society in Catskill, New York, recently rescued 42 cats and kittens after an animal‑cruelty investigation and is now asking the community for assistance.

The organization says the animals require care, medical treatment, and permanent homes, and it is inviting local volunteers and prospective adopters to help provide those needs.
