The Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation organized a guided walk on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026, to explore the remaining mail‑order kit houses that line East and Pinewood Avenues.

Madison C. Squires of the foundation led participants along the two streets, pointing out the distinctive features of the kit homes and explaining their role in the city’s architectural development.

The event was designed to highlight this unique chapter of Saratoga’s building history and to raise awareness of the surviving examples of the prefabricated houses.
