The annual Malta 5K road race is scheduled for September 12, 2026, with proceeds earmarked for local charitable organizations. The event will take place at the TEC‑SMART facility located at 345 Hermes Road in Malta, New York, and is organized by the race’s planning committee in conjunction with community volunteers.
Participants and organizers anticipate a 5‑kilometer course that will begin and finish on the TEC‑SMART grounds. Promotional material for the race lists the numbers 5, 35, and 40 alongside the event details, underscoring key aspects of the day’s programming.
The race is part of a continuing effort to raise funds for non‑profit groups that serve the Malta community. All entry fees and associated donations will be directed to these local charities, providing financial support for their ongoing programs.
While the exact number of runners has not been disclosed, the event traditionally draws a mix of seasoned athletes and casual walkers who share a common interest in supporting community causes. The organizers have coordinated with local authorities to ensure the race route is safe and clearly marked.
The selection of TEC‑SMART as the venue offers participants access to indoor facilities for warm‑up and post‑race activities. The address at 345 Hermes Road places the start and finish lines within a central area of Malta, facilitating easy access for spectators and volunteers.
Overall, the Malta 5K on September 12 continues the town’s tradition of combining fitness and philanthropy, reinforcing the partnership between recreational events and charitable fundraising in the region.
