Rich Johns was presented with the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Legacy All‑American Lifetime Achievement Award in Saratoga, New York, on August 20, 2026. The ceremony recognized his extensive contributions to tennis both as a player and as a coach.

During his coaching career, Johns oversaw the development of local tennis talent, guiding both male and female athletes through competitive play.
