The sixth annual Saratoga Book Festival opened in downtown Saratoga Springs on October 1 and will run through October 4. Organized by the festival team, the event offers free author talks, readings and programs for youth.

The citywide celebration is intended to promote literacy and encourage community involvement throughout the four-day period.
