The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation announced that it has distributed more than $2 million in land‑trust grants, with local trusts in the Capital Region receiving over $530,000.

The funding is aimed at protecting open space and natural resources and forms part of the department’s grant program that supports conservation across the region.
