The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation announced on Oct 16, 2026 that it is looking for a new partner to run the Gideon Putnam Hotel in Saratoga Springs. The effort is intended to ensure the historic property remains in operation.

The agency’s search for an operator reflects its goal of maintaining the hotel’s continued use as a historic landmark.
