Washington state authorities announced that an abandoned, graffiti‑covered boat illegally tied to a public pier in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood will be removed by Dec. 31, 2026.

The vessel has remained at the Ballard pier for seven years, prompting repeated community complaints and a lawsuit over its illegal mooring and graffiti.

State officials have taken custody of the boat and set a schedule to clear it before the end of the year.
