On October 22, 2026, just before 9:45 p.m., a driver hit a pedestrian at the intersection of Eglinton Avenue East and Mason Road in a residential area of Scarborough. After leaving the scene, the driver returned, and Toronto Police Service escorted the injured man to a hospital.
