Authorities in Loudoun County, Virginia, launched Operation Highway Hound on November 2, 2026. The program is designed to curb aggressive, speeding, distracted, reckless and unsafe driving behaviors.

The rollout comes after a recent increase in vehicle crashes and pedestrian injuries, which officials say prompted the new initiative.

County officials indicated the effort seeks to reduce the dangerous driving practices that have contributed to the rise in accidents.
