On Friday morning, October 30, police in Maryland arrested two suspects after a series of attempted armored‑car robberies that ended when one suspect was hit by his own getaway vehicle. The incidents took place at a Navy Federal Credit Union in Laurel, a Safeway in Bowie Town Center, and a McDonald’s in Crofton.

Authorities said the suspects attempted to steal cash transports at each location and left dozens of rolled coins on a crosswalk as they fled. The getaway car collided with one of the suspects, leading to their apprehension.

The arrests were carried out by Maryland police in Prince George’s and Anne Arundel counties.
