The Cape May‑Lewes Ferry has introduced a $7 fuel surcharge for all vehicles traveling the route between Cape May, New Jersey, and Lewes, Delaware. The charge will remain in effect through Dec. 31, 2026.
The surcharge is being applied in response to rising diesel costs and market volatility.
The ferry service is commonly used by tourists and local residents traveling between the two states.
