A report released on Oct. 29, 2026 by Doctors Manitoba says the province is making progress in recruiting physicians.
The same report notes that shortages of specialist doctors and physicians in rural communities persist.
While the province has been working to attract additional doctors, gaps in specialist and rural staffing continue to be a challenge.
