Prime Minister Mark Carney on Thursday called on Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. to keep the promises it made when it acquired Canadian steelmaker Stelco, as the firm faces a dispute over its planned job cuts.

Cleveland-Cliffs purchased Stelco and pledged specific actions at the time of the acquisition, but those pledges are now being questioned as the company prepares to cut jobs.
