The Steinbach pilot training school has introduced new safety procedures after a 2025 mid‑air collision killed two student pilots during practice takeoffs and landings. The Transportation Safety Board of Canada investigated the incident.
The collision happened when the two students attempted to land simultaneously on the small rural runway, resulting in a fatal crash. Following the Board’s investigation, the school adopted several safety changes.
