The Winnipeg Police Service announced on Oct. 23, 2026 that it has stopped accepting tip submissions from Crime Stoppers after a data breach compromised tip information.

The police had previously used Crime Stoppers to receive anonymous crime tips, but the breach forced a temporary pause in that process.
