Sgt. Maltbia-Burgess of the Atlanta Police Department was relieved of duty on Oct. 1, 2026 following his arrest on battery charges.

The sergeant had previously been featured in several APD social‑media videos during the World Cup, where he displayed the department's new uniforms.
