The DeKalby County School Board voted 4-1 on Oct. 5, 2026, to appoint Dr. Norman Sauce III as the district’s permanent superintendent, ending the interim leadership period.
The elected board, which oversees DeKalb County Schools serving the Atlanta metropolitan area, made the appointment to provide a permanent leader for the district.
