A driver rear‑ended a police escort SUV on US‑41/GA‑3 north of Griffin just before 11 a.m. on Oct. 2, 2026, forcing it into a SWAT vehicle and leaving two people hospitalized.

Georgia State Patrol troopers responded to the crash involving the Clayton County Police escort and the SWAT vehicle on the highway.
