The Norcross City Council has postponed its discussion on reducing city street speed limits to 25 mph until December 2026. The council also announced that it will invite residents to help shape a roadway safety action plan and is considering extending the demolition moratorium on pre‑1950 structures through early February 2027.

Council officials said the resident input will guide the safety plan as the city reviews policies intended to improve road safety and protect historic buildings. Residents will be asked to provide feedback on the proposed speed limit and the possible extension of the demolition moratorium.
