On Oct. 31, 2026, a Fulton County judge sentenced six defendants to prison after they pleaded guilty to a series of robberies that resulted in three men being killed, including one staged as a fake Uber Eats delivery.

The robberies were carried out using counterfeit Uber Eats orders to lure victims, and the deaths occurred during these attacks.

The sentencing follows a wave of violent crimes in the Atlanta area that have exploited fake food‑delivery requests to target individuals.
