Georgia State Troopers said a head‑on collision on Highway 17 in Franklin County resulted in two fatalities on Saturday afternoon.
The crash involved a green 2013 Ford Escape traveling southbound in the northbound lanes and a red 2021 Mazda 3, creating a wrong‑way, head‑on impact.
One of the victims was a 19‑year‑old; both occupants died at the scene.
