Two teenage suspects were taken into custody in Illinois on Oct. 17, 2026, and charged in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in northwest Atlanta in June 2026.

The arrests followed a joint investigation by the Atlanta Police Department and Illinois law enforcement, which identified the suspects months after the incident.

The June shooting resulted in the death of one man.
